    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As a Psychology student, it is imperative that I be able to interpret the written word and express my thoughts and opinions in essays. This class enabled me to do both. Dr. Mellander was wondrously helpful in guiding the class to interpret short stories, poetry and plays.

    Course highlights:

Interpreting classic works of art, such as Hamlet and A Streetcar Named Desire, for me, were the the highlights of the class. Dr. Mellander's vast experience in literature and his willingness to share his thoughts and opinions with the class made this a beneficial and enjoyable course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest that the student plan to spend over 10 hours per week on interpreting the literature and writing discussion board posts and essays on it. This class was very time consuming.
