    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I believe all people should learn about other cultures and their traditions. We should all gain a better understanding of those around us.

    Course highlights:

The food demonstration day was the best part.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Really try to dive in to the course and take advantage of the class being in the museum.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is essential in beginning to understand social anthropology, which is why it is a requirement.

    Course highlights:

Readings and projects in this course are a wonderful introduction to social cultural anthropology. Ethnography is a wonderful way to learn about different cultures and the readings in this course were wonderful examples of ethnography.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The assignment to conduct interviews is inherent to cultural anthropology. Take this part seriously as it will aid you enormously throughout your anthropological career and all aspects of your social interactions. Learn how to be an active and thoughtful listener.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This intro class is very much just an intro class. Do not expect to think or learn outside obvious ideas. Be prepared to write an ethnography, which I felt wholly underprepared to do. You will have to apply a lot of outside time to this course during the latter half.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the literature included in this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to memorise some terms and suffer through uninteresting discussion. Either be prepared to complete an ethnography or do not take this course.
