    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took this class in high school along with Chemistry 117 as a dual credit class. Basic chemistry in high school runs through each aspect faster while in these courses you focus on each section for weeks at a time. I would recommend this class to those that have an actual interest in chemistry. If not I don't recommend. The labs might seem fun, which they are, but there is a lot more to the class.

    Course highlights:

My highlights of the course would definitely be the lab portions. They made the class more enjoyable due to the slight break in learning new equations and periodic table information. Along with the labs are lab reports which aren't the most exciting thing to do, but after the first few it gets pretty easy.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely make sure you have plenty of free time to study study study. The tests are not easy and have many questions that were briefly stated. With that being said, right down everything and really focus on everything the professor says.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He is very understanding of disabilities and will work with you regardless of any problems. There is a alternative lab if you can't make the normal timed lab and this is a good feature. The only downside is the difficulty, you will need to understand to material before class.

    Course highlights:

It's very helpful if your hands on learner because in chemistry it is important to know why something is happening. For me lab has always been enjoyable and this didn't disappoint. My only advice would be if you don't enjoy chemistry don't take it – it was not a necessity.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say save your lab manuals, save your graded labs, print out the PowerPoint that is made for the class and use that to study because you will need the key points on the PowerPoint to answer the questions.
