    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Professor McGerr is a man with fervor towards music of every decade. He successfully incorporates the history of gender roles, racism, sexism, and other revolutionary topics into popular music.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was listening to music every day, whether it be the Beatles (one of my favorites) or country (which I don't particularly enjoy but gained a new appreciation for in this class). I learned about the overlap between music and historical events throughout the 20th century.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend showing up to every class, as every class is worth 10 points to show up. Also, just pay attention to the lectures because there will be three short papers on a few topics discussed in class. Also, the lectures at the beginning will be applied throughout the course of the class.
