    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I thought MKT 113 was ok! I had no experience before the class and I now feel like I have a basic knowledge of marketing.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge of how to identify marketing strategies, the 4P'S, SWOT.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read the required reading (all of it!). Ask for help when needed, attend the webinars.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course is a hybrid, mainly online with one night per week of classroom. The classroom piece is a bit dry and not useful. The online piece is fine.

    Course highlights:

The course does give a good basic concept of marketing. A lot of the principles are basic and common sense.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't bother to try and work ahead, a lot of times the course requirements aren't posted until the week prior.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Though I have had my own idea of what marketing consisted of, I never understood the extent of it and why people would consider marketing for a career. This course taught me so much about marketing that I never would have thought about. It truly is interesting learning the different angles of marketing and how you can promote your business in so many different ways. I am so happy I was a part of this class and it gave me new appreciation and insight for this subject. I highly recommend taking this course.

    Course highlights:

You don’t realize all the effort that a business puts into promotion. There are so many sufficient ways you can reach out to the community to grab attention and inform them of whatever it is you are trying to show them. One thing I learned in this course is the use of social media for marketing. It is amazing how big of an impact promotion on networking sites have on the success of a business and how much people respond to this type of marketing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course you just need to focus on the different steps of marketing one step at a time. To help me understand the information I was learning I would compare the marketing strategies to businesses I am familiar with. It helps to look at each strategy and pin point how a specific business uses it and customers portray it.
