    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I appreciated the course for the very detailed, easy to understand breakdown of how to prepare and deliver a speech versus how you would write an academic paper. In theory it sounds like it would be a similar ordeal, but in actuality there are a lot of things to consider. Professor Rowinski provided a lot of resources, prompt answers to questions and detailed feedback throughout the course.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed evaluating other's speeches throughout the module. There was one speech in particular where an actor did everything wrong when delivering her speech. She was passionate but horrible. Then in another speech she was transformed into this exemplary orator. It really demonstrated the importance of all the seemingly small things that go into delivering an effective speech.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete your assignments on time so that you can get feedback in enough time to revise them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was really helpful because it forces you to face your fears about speaking in front of people. Believe it or not, at the end of 8 weeks you feel more confident.

    Course highlights:

I learned that even though I speak well I did a lot of verbal pausing like uhhmmm! Well after taking this class I learned how to correct that. I sound much more professional when I speak now.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to step out of your comfort zone, but know it will benefit you greatly.
