Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely loved this class. Understanding anthropology and other cultures is important in any profession and in our personal lives. His class taught be to not think of my own culture as better or above any other but taught me to look at different cultures and people groups in their culture and belief to help me better understand. I would absolutely recommend anyone to take this class. It helps you to have an open mind.

    Course highlights:

Our final project was a film study focused on culture. I chose 12 Years A Slave. This was a great project and the class taught me to watch the movie through an anthropological lens and not look at what I thought to be right or wrong but to study the culture in this time setting. It was tough at times to do this but it really taught me to look at the cultural belief systems that were in place.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I encourage anyone taking this class to have an open mind and to really expect to get a lot out of it. I think you get Out what you put in and it's up to you what you will take from the course. Read everything and have an open mind.
