    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I have never taken a programming class before and this was very intimidating for me as an adult learner returning to school after 20 years. Professor Duggan was extremely helpful and compassionate to the adult student. He was fair and no questions was off-limits no mater how elementary. He made my overall experience less intimidating which allowed me to be able to learn without trepidation.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was being able to create a website from scratch using all of the knowledge and skill sets we learned during the course. The Professor allowed us to use our imagination and cultivated that imagination into an actual we design project. We learned how to embed multimedia into our website which was awesome. we included music, music videos, pictures and other awesome objects on the internet.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you complete all of the reading assignments each week and watch all of the assigned video's and short lectures. Use the internet as a tool as well to find code examples. Make sure you ask questions. no question should be off limits and no questions should ever be considered "stupid". Ask, Ask, Ask. You may be surprised at how helpful your Professor is.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this to anybody, especially if they want to learn about web design. If you do take this course, don't be like me and put so much of the work off and end up with a bad grade for the course.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the basics of web design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. We had to create a website for a fictional business and it consisted of a few smaller steps from start to finish.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't let yourself get behind in this class. Unless you have experience in web site design, you will likely need to put quite a bit of time in this course. Make use of additional resources.
