Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone that is truly interested in becoming an entrepreneur. Within this course, you will open your mind to creativity, stepping out of your comfort zone and public speaking. All skills that are great for bettering yourself in the "real" world. This class is not just for opening up your own business but it also includes how to go about creating your own product. It also gets you to think about who truly inspires you and what motivates you.

    Course highlights:

I am currently completing this course, but some of the highlights so far is that we have a year long project that we are creating. It entails us to either create a product and make it come to life or create a business plan to open up a business (I'm going to be creating a plan to open up a restaurant). I love this project becasue it allows us to be as creative as possible and when we present our projects to the class we are actually making a "pitch" like the TV show Shark Tank.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not think this is an "easy A" class because it is not. Be evasiveness, you'll learn more doing so. Always have an open mind when you walk in and out of the class and most importantly don't be afraid to fail. If you do that shows you that you are trying but if you do succeed just remember there are many other possibilities to achieve success.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a leadership class, and while not everyone wants to go into a leadership role. This class can help teach you more about the person you are, and who you would like to become.

    Course highlights:

I gained valuable insight to the person I am, and more so of whom I would like to become with my future endeavors. I personally am working into getting into a management within the IT field, by learning the type of leader I am, and how I can work on those strengths to make a better team was by far the most valuable lesson that I’ve learned so far while in school. By learning the values that are most becoming of, not only leaders, but overall employees, can help turn a bad work environment into a good environment. This class also taught me that, as individuals, we need to let our management teams how we feel, and if certain process don’t seem to work to find new and creative ways to make them work. Of course, they may not always listen, but we can feel better about ourselves as a whole knowing we at least took the first step and tried to make a difference.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the course content, there is a lot of great information in there. Do not sell yourself short, everyone has the opportunity to make their work environment a better place.
