Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Sands is fantastic, she is very attentive and ready to answer any questions, very interactive and ready to help

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to all instructions. Make sure you do not procrastinate. Each week is a reflect of the previous week

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I learned a lot about the writing process and the lessons that I learned will help me in my future classes. I was very unsure of my writing ability before taking the class which created a lot of anxiety when I would get essay assignments in other classes. Now I have confidence in my writing skills.

    Course highlights:

I learned the steps to take when writing a research paper. We had 8 modules divided over 8 weeks and each week the lesson would build on the week prior for our final essay. I was able to finally learn what the APA guidelines were and how to properly cite and reference other works in my papers. For me, part of the learning in this class was learning to ask for help. I regularly reached out and submitted papers to the Writing Center and used the feedback the coaches provided to improve my writing.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My advice is to ask questions. I was afraid to submit my paper to the Writing Center because criticism is not my favorite thing but the tips they provided are priceless. Weekly I submitted my papers for review and I set up some one on one tutor sessions. The coaching not only helped me to improve my writing but it also built the confidence I had in my own skills.
