    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While statistics is not close to my top 10, 20, or 30 favorite courses that I've taken, it is difficult to deny that it was very useful when examining studies. Dr Amy Gates was an excellent professor that had clearly outlined the How-To's of the course through many videos and spreadsheets. The assignments were difficult and I did struggle many times during the semester, especially during tests, but I pulled through the course with a 4.0. The biggest thing is that this is a time-intensive course so you must be willing to buckle down and commit several hours to each assignment to be successful and to clearly understand the content of the course.

    Course highlights:

Statistical formulas, reading statistics, how companies manipulate stats to appear stronger than they are, excellent professor that was very quick to respond to questions and encourage students

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Many hours each evening dedicated to quiet study of the content, utilize the tutorials in the software, ask questions, talk to classmates, read the chapters in the book, practice tests, double-check answers!
