Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course if you are new to using Photoshop or if you need a refresher. The projects build upon each other, helping you to use what you learn to improve the design you started with. Mr. Washington was prompt when help was needed and very thorough in explaination.

    Course highlights:

I learned the necessities of Photoshop and all the many ways the tools could be utilized. Through this course I was taught how to share a message through my design when creating a logo for an imaginary business.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Start your projects sooner than later. The earlier you have an idea of what you want to do the sooner you can ask for advice before a final submission. Don't be afraid to ask the professor for clarification.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because all design students should learn the basics of design and color before taking more advance classes. Before taking this course however, I would recommend taking an intro to graphic design course that will teach you the basics of Photoshop. If I didn't take the intro first, I would have been lost in this course because they didn't tell us how to do anything and what tools do what.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned the importance of colors, the importance of visual hierarchy, and how certain colors give off certain feelings. For example, in my course I created a piece for my final assignment that was meant to give the target audience a feeling of warmth so I used warm colors such as red, yellow, and orange.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would have to say that it is definitely wise to take this course and that you should try to learn a little about the basics of Photoshop first so the course isn't as hard. There were some students in my class who have never used Photoshop in their life and they struggled to figure things out. I would also advise that if you do take this course, definitely ask your instructor questions if you are confused on anything. They are glad to help.
