Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is led by student discussion. The readings make you think and the discussion that follows tends to be really interesting. The professor is an amazing writer and is really helpful in pointing out where your writing is weak and where it could use help.

    Course highlights:

My entire academic life I’ve had trouble explicitly stating my thesis and making it clear for the reader. Professor Petillo worked with me patiently and tirelessly to help me figure out exactly what I wanted to say, and how to say it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Put in the time to do the readings! They’re very short, easy to read, and interesting. When working on essays or journals, don’t be afraid to be yourself; the professor doesn’t judge the content of essays too harshly and she always gives clear advice on how to steer your writing style in the right direction.
