    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. It gets your creative mind going. My professor was very nice and always very helpful

    Course highlights:

I learned more about my writing, and how i can express myself as well as using description to tell my story to make everyone feel what i am feeling

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't like writing, then this isn't the course for you, but on the other hand if you do love writing and reading then i highly recommend

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a super easy class! Dr. Broek is a very laid-back and likable teacher. The workload is not too much at all. You have 3 papers throughout the whole semester, and he helps you every step of the way.

    Course highlights:

I learned the difference between a good, great and outstanding essay. I learned how to analyze text from the novel and use the author's ideas to support mine. I learned proper grammar and how to properly format an outline for an essay.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to just do the reading every week and respond in your journal. It makes class discussions so much easier and fly by so much faster when everyone is on the same page (which means he might let class out earlier!)

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I have always been intimidating about writing. From the start Professor Saragusa made me feel comfortable and confident in my writing process. I discovered that I do have a lot to say and was able to release it in my writings.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to effectively convey my experiences of my life and opinions. I also learned a lot about myself. I have been battling a life-threatening illness, cystic fibrosis, and high school was the roughest. I was able to release a lot of my experiences in writing that I couldn't before.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is is mandatory class for everyone, but I do say take it seriously. You will use the skills you learn in this class in pretty much every course you take. Many people will think a basic English class is boring. It definitely wasn't with Professor Saragusa.
