    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's required for many majors. I would suggest taking it in the 15 week semester or if you want, try to take it in the summer.

    Course highlights:

It was interesting for sure! There was a set amount of speeches we had to do.. Follow the rubric and the outline your professor gives you and you should be set.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take your time to do the readings and follow your teachers requirements. Use Ratemyprofessor.com for a good professor. It really comes down to how much time you put into your speeches to prepare as well as your teacher. Some professors make you write lengthy outlines, while others do not. Try to practice your speeches before the day that you are presenting them. This will help you if you get nervous or to really get your speech down. Lastly don't read everything from your notecard or off the power points. Deliver to the class. The grade you get is based off of your effort. You even will be recorded for your speeches and will have to look back at your recordings to see how you can improve or what went wrong. Don't let that take away from the class. Remember the other students need the class as a requirement as well. Try to make friends so that you can feel more comfortable in class. And most of all.. Don't forget to breathe. It's just one class!
