    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Medical terminology was a fantastic course. Learning about the different terms was interesting and Professor Sullivan made all the terms easy to remember, I left with an A for the course, I highly recommend students interested in a medical career take this course.

    Course highlights:

I learned about different medical terms and the origins for their names. I also learned of the symptoms of many different illnesses and how they are treated.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take good notes and study them at least 40 minutes a day leading up until a test or quiz. Check with Professor Sullivan before leaving class that you got all the notes down becuase she goes through notes quickly.

    Advice for students:

Buy plenty of flashcards and carry them around with you.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course for anyone entering the medical field. The course teaches you how to separate the different parts of a medical term, and use them to figure out the meaning of the term. It helps if you have some sort of medical knowledge prior to this course, but it is not necessary.

    Course highlights:

I learned the different elements of a medical term, how to build a term and how to break one down to find its definition. I know this knowledge will help me in my nursing courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class, and do not try to memorize the textbook. Simply take the information given and apply it to the new words you come across. We had to write a term paper, so make sure you give yourself enough time to work on that, so you are not overwhelmed at the last minute.
