    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you like doing absolutely nothing but taking notes and group projects, this is the class for you. Your entire grade will be based on some notebook you do every night, and the efforts of whoever is in your group.

    Course highlights:

I learned nothing. My grade was based on the people I worked it. It was a complete waste of time, and honestly a complete waste of money. I would recommend not graduating than picking this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you really think you are okay with your entire grade being based on the efforts of the people in your group, this class will be good for you. If you actually want to learn something and advance your learning career, do yourself a favor.... don't take this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Let me start by saying I completely dreaded going to this class before it even started. I enjoy reading and writing but for entertainment, not reports and tests. After a few weeks, I actually enjoyed going to this class. Professor Gazzara has the course laid out so that his students have plenty of time to complete assignments. At first it seems like there is a ton of work to be done, but it ends up not seeming like much at all. Professor Gazzara makes sure he is available for his students to ask him questions and request help with their assignments. There were even some classes when all we did was work on assignments so we could ask for help if we got stuck. He makes sure you understand the readings so that you will be able to complete tests or quizzes with accuracy. Overall, Professor Gazzara makes sure it is almost impossible to not pass this course.

    Course highlights:

The group presentations were the highlight of this course for me. I don't normally like presentations of any kind but these were not bad. The groups were assigned a reading to which they had to analyze and answer questions to in a report-like paper. The analysis of the reading was then turned into a Powerpoint or Prezzi presentation and presented to the entire class. It definitely helped me understand the readings more than I would have been able to if I were doing it on my own. It helped me learn how to write a paper with pieces coming from different people, and how to turn a paper into a presentation with fewer words.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not get overwhelmed looking at the amount of assignments due at the beginning of the course. It seems like a lot at first, but once you start completing them and turning them in, it goes by very quickly and easily. Be sure to turn the assignments in on time, and if there is a conflict of some sort with the due date, talk to Professor Gazzara. He is very understanding and tries to help his students any way he can.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My professor is very encouraging and entertaining. While he is a tough grader he improves my writing skills and challenges me.

    Course highlights:

The highlights have been in class discussion where I was taught techniques that other student writers use, which has proven beneficial.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that students read every essay that is assigned because they help.
