    Boyle’s Law

    Definition:

    As volume increases, pressure decreases. Its reverse is also true; if the room got smaller, the pressure would rise. Volume and pressure are inversely proportional, i.e., as one goes up the other goes down. A corollary to this is also important: If there is a great deal of pressure (or little volume), molecules will flow to areas of less pressure or greater volume.
