Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it was a good way of learning about the basics of psychology. Professor Barnhart was always encouraging to us and shared lots of personal experiences that helped us connect concepts to real life.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course was watching a video that the professor told us to watch. It was about how we humans can select what information is processed by the brain and completely ignore seemingly irrelevant information.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest that students stay on top of all the work given to them per week. The work is not too much, but it tends to pile up if it is done right before the day it is due. Spreading it out not only helps with time management but can help with the way information is remembered.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a great class that was full of helpful yet exciting information.

    Course highlights:

I was able to learn more about why we make impulse actions as humans. The highlight of this course would be that I was able to be hands on with the learning process.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give would be to make sure you take time out of the days you are not in class and dedicate atleast an hour of study time for this course. The information is very unique to learn.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is excellent at teaching you everything you need to now about developmental disabilities. She went above and beyond even what the text book covered.

    Course highlights:

I learned about multiple types of disabilities, how to be compassionate towards people with disabilities, how to talk a parent of a child who has a disability, multicultural education, and how people acquire disabilities.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

The text book is very helpful and necessary to do well in this class. You must take notes and participate in discussions to do well in the class.
