Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This course taught me so many things about Earth Science/geology that I had never known before. The professor is interesting; he has taught all around the world, and as he will tell you, teaching is his passion. He focuses on his students understanding the material, and always makes sure to leave extra time for questions about things we didn't fully grasp.
I enjoyed learning about rocks the most! First we learned about the layers of the Earth and then delved deeper into the types of rocks there are. We learned about how igneous rocks are transformed into metamorphic rocks, which can then become sedimentary rocks or igneous rocks once again. We also went on a field trip to Sterling Mine which was an amazing learning experience. We studied all kinds of different rocks in class and at the mine and were able to identify them. This is a very hands on course because of the subject material. What is better than learning about the planet you live on? This course was very informative and interesting!

Advice for students:
Do not hesitate! Not only is the teacher amazing, but the material is extremely interesting. You will be able to understand the course if you are not a science major, but if you are one it will be all that much better! I was able to relate a lot of my prior chemistry knowledge to understand the material we were learning even better.
