    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is needed to take Calculus 1 for Science and Engineering. The professor was very helpful and not too serious.

    Course highlights:

In MAT 129 I learned precalculus of course. I learned everything I need to take on Calculus 1. Everything that I learned in this course is really being of use in Calculus 1. The professor is very serious about getting work done but, she keeps the classroom fun and always has great examples to help you learn.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the homework and practice problems!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Prof. Scanlon is a good teacher, in my opinion. When you take a math course you have to be sure to have a decent teacher because math can be very difficult and is very thought provoking so you need someone who will be open to explaining things thoroughly to you.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of the course? I'm not exactly sure. I am horrible with math so I don't think there were any highlights. I did learn that you must try to always keep up with the work or you won't understand anything taught in the future.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you need a tutor then get one! Work on the homework given to you because practicing at home really helps you identify where you are making mistakes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is often required for most degrees and helps your math knowledge drastically.

    Course highlights:

We did a full review of College Algebra, the class you take before this one. You basically go over most of the Algebra you learned before. Then the other part of the semester, we covered the basics of calculus. The highlight of the class was when we got to work with algebra problems with the help of calculus and vice versa.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all of the homework that is assigned to you. Try to stay ahead of the part of the curriculum that the professor is covering , this way you can have a bit of a head start in the course. Form study groups with classmates, and make sure to go the the professor as soon as you have any questions about the homework or are unsure about anything.
