    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course gave me a lot of food for thought. There were interesting essay topics to write upon. A lot of research had to be done before writing them. This added a lot to my stock of knowledge. Overall, the course was very interesting. However, I would also mention that a lot of unnecessary attention was given to extremely minute details of the essay. This could be dispensed with. But on the whole, it was good.

    Course highlights:

As I mentioned, there was a lot of studying to be done before writing the essays. The essays were mostly a blend of descriptive and argumentative. We had to pick a side and then write about it. I had a tendency to become a little diplomatic and hover somewhere between a "for" and "against". When I was forced to pick a side, I learnt what I was actually inclined towards. I refined my thought process and used a little more of my grey matter.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

There is always the better option of getting ideas from internet and writing them down after a bit of editing. But if you are really bent on improving your skills, then I would advice you to go over all the facts of the topic given and then write down what you really feel. For example, we had an essay on affirmative action: the implications of it and whether it was doing harm or good. I researched about it, saw a few case studies and then formed my own opinion. That is the only advice I would like to give to those considering this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I learned so much in this class about writing. I have always known how to write, but Professor Daniel taught how to fill essays with valuable information rather than just filler.

    Course highlights:

Learning about advertising was by far the highlight of this course. I would like to study in this field and it really helped me understand advertisements more, and know how to create one myself.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework. Professor Daniel does give quite a bit of homework, but it is for a purpose. None of the homework is jusy busy work, you are actually learning from it.
