    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course focused on the basics of programming and would recommend for those looking for an introductory course on coding. It is also a good class for students who are considering majoring in a computer programming major or minor because it will help them decide if coding is for them.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the projects we had. Our first project was a "movie-type" program and our second was an interactive game. With these projects, we were allowed to work in groups and go off on our own and experiment with Alice to learn which codes to put where for an effective project. I also learned about the coding and computer based clubs on campus and what help is available for the students.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful in this course I recommend taking the opportunities after class to independently look at Alice and try to make your own programs and projects. I would also recommend students talking to the PLA about any problems that are arising with the college transition because they are there to help and assist the freshman in their class.
