    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because the techniques learned in class pertain to quotidian activity.

    Course highlights:

The highlights would be coming into class, excited about what I was going to learn. The class very much pertained with algebraic and trigonometric techniques.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you keep up with homework - as this course involved spiral learning.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Bastian is a brilliant man and an excellent professor. He makes difficult information easy to understand and he genuinely cares about students' success in his class. Although he gives a lot of homework, his test tests are very straightforward. Not to mention, the information learned in this course is very interesting. It was one of my favorite classes.

    Course highlights:

I'm this course you learn the basics of probability and statistics including basic mathematic functions with probability, how to perform a hypothesis test, calculating a z-score, etc. The most fascinating aspect was that Dr. Bastian explains how people lie using statistics, which really helped me in researching projects for other courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Although the professor cares about student success in his classes, he makes you work for it. I would advise that students taking this course do the homework. There is a lot of work assigned and it is he added for completion. However, the homework is always relevant and usually helps a lot with understanding the material. Also make sure you go to class or get notes from someone if you absolutely cannot make it because Dr. Bastian doesn't do reviews before tests. That being said, his tests are very straightforward and he doesn't throw curve balls or try to trick you.
