Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Prof Saalha is very enthusiastic, and engages the class. Although him and I didn't see eye to eye on some issues, he was open to debate the issues in the classroom and was very respectful while doing so.
I took the course to gain an insight on Arab culture. I'm in the military, and with constant rotations in and out of that part of the world, I figured it would come in handy at some point. I was exposed to a very different point of view on that part of the world thanks to the professor's experience as an immigrant from the West Bank.

Advice for students:
Do your homework, and study your Arab geography. That's what hangs most people up. And be vocal! I wasn't the best student, but because I participated more than most people in the class, I ended up with a decent grade by the end of the semester.
