    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Already being fond of Greek mythology, the information that I learned about early Greek culture during this course was intriguing to me. The additional teachings of Greek geography and major historical events was an added bonus.

    Course highlights:

Breaking down the role and abilities of each and every Greek and Roman God was one of the most captivating parts of the course; this made understanding the rest of early Greek and Roman culture more interesting and likable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

GET USED TO SPEED READING! There is a lot of reading in small amounts of time required for this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to the students of Montclair State University because you truly don’t know if you like Mythology or not until you try it out for yourself. To be completely honest I was not looking forward to taking Mythology before I actually attended classes. I was afraid of how hard the papers, tests, or classwork assigned was going to be. Yes the things we had to do was a little tough but the material that we were learning was so interesting that the work didn’t become tedious or over whelming.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course definitely had to be the group projects that we were assigned to do. During the process of the group work I met new people and most importantly I learned a lot of new things. I became very interested in learning about the gods and goddesses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to the students that are considering this course is to stay on top of the things you have to turn in and the tests you have to study for. Make time to focus on the work because this course does take up your time and requires focus. Also most importantly, take really good notes so that you have things to look back to if you feel confused.
