Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
Course and professor were challenging but despite that I learned a lot. Professor Milano can be mean at times, but she really helps you learn the material if you put time and effort into the course.
Course highlights:
Some things I learned from MECH 235 include identifying vectors in 2D and 3D coordinates and finding their resultant , dealing with systems of equivalent forces, dealing with equilibrium, solving for trusses and frames, solving distributed loads, and using the parallel axis theorem. Overall statics deals with objects not in motion which makes it easier to solve for things such as the equilibrium as the equation will always be equal to 0.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
Study and pay attention in class. Exams are based on either her examples or similar question to the homework. Keep on pace with learning each step of the way as the course builds on itself.
