    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was definitely a challenging semester but the experience you gain from the rotations are great!

    Course highlights:

Therapeutic Communication! This will definitely help you throughout your career. The different psych disorders, MEDS, and review of systems in Med Surg were definitely the highlights.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Know your MEDS and do a lot of Prep-U or NCLEX style questions.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for Nursing students of course. It was definitely challenging, but it helped to build my clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills.

    Course highlights:

From taking this course, I gained knowledge about medical-surgical nursing. This class focused on the endocrine system, including a large portion on diabetes. It also focused on the GI system and Musculoskeletal system. After discussing the basic A&P of each system, this class explored its application to nursing practice.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I would give is time management. Nursing ll covered a lot of information in just a few short weeks, so making sure you have ample time to study is very important. Working together with others or making flash cards were two ways I was able to study successfully and get through this class. Don't ever wait until the night before a test to cram information because you won't pass!!
