    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Marketing is the ability to create, deliver and offer products and services. Every business has a product or service to offer to the consumer so understanding how this product can be handled is an essential part of every business. This course should be taken by everyone, no matter what their major is, to better understand the consumers and goals of the company.

    Course highlights:

We learned about the concept of Marketing, what it really is and everything that comes with it. We concentrated on the elements of the marketing mix and the marketing plan. Everything that is involved in marketing was in this course: the study of the market, the production of new products, the distribution, the promotions, and pricing decisions. We also worked on a group project that put everything we learned together and allowed us to imagine what developing a real world marketing plan would be like.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading the book is the most important part of the course. Understanding the definitions of each word and the concepts discussed is the key to success in the class. Discussions in class and participation are also a great portion of your grade, so reading the book before class will allow you to be able to participate and get those points.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Mandel made this course fun and engaging through the incorporation of projects and powerpoints into the everyday dynamic of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

The professor uploads the powerpoints to her Moodle page, so they are readily accessible for studying. Also, students are able to bring a two-sided cheat-sheet for exams, which is a bonus.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely take this course, and print out the powerpoint slides in advance. Taking notes on the printed slides is much easier, since there will be less information to write down.
