Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class opened up my eyes to the "isms" including racism, classism and sexism. I learned so much about different social issues topics and enjoyed hearing new perspectives and opinions from my professor and classmates.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed hearing what everyone in my class had to say, and enjoyed the interesting papers and activities that we did in class. We watched several relevant videos, films and books that allowed me to gain perspective and a better understanding of each topic.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely recommend this course, even if you don't have any prior experience or interest in social issues. I did not think I would enjoy this class as much as I did.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because of its ability to open up your perception. Talking about the issues presenting our modern generation is important because we are the ones who will make change in the future.

    Course highlights:

My personal favorite was the talking about race in America. We looked at social constructs and the various impacts relating to the issues we are facing today. I really learned to look at people and our social norms in a completely different light.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and do the homework readings. Other than that make sure the professor knows you and you will be fine.
