Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class was very informative, and it's a great introduction to the subject. I gained a better understanding of just how vast the subject of Biology was, and it gave a good introduction to what I would be delving into over the next four years.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the various organisms that make up our complicated ecosystem, and how through all those vast differences there were just as many similarities. The class was thorough for such a broad topic, but the lab requirement was the best part about it. It was always interesting and fun.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Note cards galore. The book didn't really help me much, but the class notes and paying attention in the lab definitely did.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This professor is very knowledgeable and not tough on her students. Even though she has a class of over 150 students she attempts to create a personal connection with everyone.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were gaining so much knowledge about so many different life forms, and actually being able to apply it to real things. I learned how to classify certain organisms and what maces them different from each other. I can now even identify an organism based on internal structures.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take really great notes on the lecture powerpoints.
