Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Shannon cares about his students and assures that everyone learns real applications and not just memorization. He is always there to give you career advice and wants to encourage learning of skills that makes one marketable.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about different areas of law. It is very broad based and every lesson is vast. Torts, contracts and constitutional law are some subjects covered.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to not slack off on assignments. Dr. Shannon wants to see you put forth your best effort and to go above what he asks. If you give him the minimum, he will give you a C. He also wants to have you participate and be active in the discussions. You need to be sure to read any cases and take notes on them as well for class discussion. He will sometimes call on people randomly if he feels you are not prepared.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Shannon executes his class in such a way that he makes you work hard for a good grade, but at the same time is dedicated to helping prepare everyone for the future. He teaches real life knowledge and cares about his students more than any professor I have taken thus far. His class should be a requirement as it truly has helped me be ready for the job expectations after college.

    Course highlights:

His text book is very helpful in understanding topics and easily readable. Combined with his teaching method, I learned and memorized the class material better than most other classes. I also was more prepared because he expects everyone to be ready to discuss cases every single class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to take notes on the cases and be ready to discuss the cases every single class. If you put in your highest effort he will give you a good grade. You cannot get through his class with a good grade if you wing everything. You must be sure to always give your best effort and be sure to review class lectures when necessary.
