    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

There is a common misconception that psychology is not a challenging subject. I strongly believe that it is important every student that takes this course to understand its value. The beauty of psychology is that the more you delve into it, the more it blows your mind. So if you are taking this course for its easy credits, then a 3 hour class of general psychology every week will be your worst nightmare. Keep in mind that there is a lot of reading to do. Take this class for the right reasons.

    Course highlights:

Every general psychology courses cover the basics of many psychological theories and concepts. The topics that were covered in my class were as follows: Thinking Critically with Psychological Science, The Biology of Behavior, Consciousness and the Two-Track Mind, Developing through the Lifespan, Gender and Sexuality, Learning, Memory, Thinking, Language, and Intelligence , Motivation and Emotion, Stress and Health, Personality, Sensation and Perception, Social Psychology, Psychological Disorders, and Therapy. Overall I would say that the topic that I enjoyed learning the most was Psychological Disorders. The professor always tries to keep the class interesting by showing videos, conducting small group experiments etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't leave the reading till the last day before the exam. There are lots of vocabulary so I would suggest that you space out the reading.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class specifically based on the way it is taught. The professor, as a human, is a great person and the course by itself is interesting. However, putting the two together did not make the best fit for a class.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were learning the basics of psychology including hindsight bias and the parts of the brain. I also learned how to work with my class as a whole through study groups and shared notes to understand the material that we were learning. Also, I learned about interesting and out-of-the-box applications of psychology.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book thoroughly and take extensive notes. Make sure to outline the chapters as a whole and look at diagrams and outside sources as guidelines to the material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it helps students get an overall understanding of psychology.

    Course highlights:

I learned that psychology is much more than just mental illnesses , and that there are many other things that have to do with psychology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to make sure they do the readings that are assigned.
