    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a challenging course, not going to lie. The hardest part would be the labs and the projects, which start easy enough at first, but get rather difficult at the end. However, the professor is always willing to help you if you come in during office hours, and he often pushes back the due dates.

    Course highlights:

This class teaches you a lot of important information needed for future comp sci courses, like linked lists, trees, hash tables, and other forms of structuring data. When I took it, it was also the first year they taught it in C++ so that was a fun time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    1) Go to class 2) Get a head start on your programs. Even if the professor does push back the date, it makes it a lot easier on yourself to ask questions because you can be sure there will be a line at his office door on the last week. Also it's a good feeling watching the other students suffer when you've already finished.
