    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class, Biology of Nutrition, really pushed me to my limits - I had to work my hardest to earn a B. While the professor is very helpful, and a very fair grader, the textbook is far more advanced than I was expecting from a 200 level course. As difficult as it was for me, I did come out of this semester with a much deeper understanding of nutrition and the roles nutrients play in the functioning of our bodies. I would recommend this class to those looking to fulfill a science requirement, but want something that is useful in daily living.

    Course highlights:

I think the major highlight of this course was the final project. This project consisted of tracking your daily nutrient intake for 3 - 7 days and inputting the data into a program that calculated all the nutrients and compared your actual intake to recommended intakes. This project really opened my eyes to what I need to change in my eating habits to properly fuel my body.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice i can give you is to not get behind in the reading materials. This class moves very quickly to cover the immense (700+ page) book. The exams cover a broad range of information, and if you don't read every single word of the assignment, you are bound to lose out on pertinent information.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The online lectures can be really long and you have to listen to them otherwise you will fail the tests.

    Course highlights:

Even though I did listen to the lectures and did the self-quizzes, I didn't do very well on the tests.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

He gives an optional final and replaced the two lowest tests with the final.
