    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Biology is an intriguing major to pursue. To learn about the functions and locations of organs and organ systems would give someone a better insight on how to understand functions of the human body as well.

    Course highlights:

Biology allowed me to have a better understanding

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Biology is a difficult course to major in, sometimes there will be a struggle of how to study and the amount of time consumed to do so. But with motivation (because there is a reason you've chosen the course), you can make it through. The teacher will make time for you and your efforts on how you choose to take this class (seriously or not) will greatly determined the outcome of your grade and aspiration to continue.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend a summer course for bio because its easier in a sense and at a faster pace.

    Course highlights:

A HUGE highlight was photosynthesis and cellular respiration, which are two of the hardest subjects to really understand in biology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot, don't leave studying to the last minute, rewrite the notes in your own words so you know you grasp the concept, also join study groups, and use the teachers study guide if provided

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Montes is a very knowledgeable professor and she is also very good at explaining the material. My only problem with her was that she didn't make the class very interactive - she didn't ask the class enough questions or do any activities that would allow her students to never forget what they've learned. I fell like she should try and engage her class more.

    Course highlights:

One of the things I enjoyed about this course was learning about the cell membrane. She realized that after the first exam she gave that she wasn't being very engaging, so she decided to do a demonstration on the permeability of the cell membrane (afterwards she forgot about keeping everyone interested so that was the only thing she did). I really enjoyed that demonstration, and it's probably something I would never forget. I learned more about active and passive transport through her vivid illustration.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely find a study group, and take the class seriously - don't treat it like an elective.
