    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking English Course 101 with Professor Pizzo because he is an amazing professor. He is always doing what he can to make class interesting, he encourages students to say what is really on their minds, he always has a story to tell and he is just a likeable person.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was being able to freely discuss topics that were controversial without the classroom turning into a battlefield. The class was miniscule so our interactions with each other and with the teacher were much more personal, and the professor does care about his students and extends every opportunity to a student to succeed.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do the work and come to class. The work really isn't difficult and even if English is not your strongest subject, it's alright. Don't simply walk in with the assumption that because the subject is one that you are weak in that you'll fail. Just be prepared to work a little harder if that is the case.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives you a lot of information about our past, present and future of many different situations that the U.S. is going through and has gone through. It will increase your knowledge on how to write essay and different styles of papers as in MLA, APA, Chicago and many others. I loved how the professor was always available and wanted to teach each and every student and kept a positive level at all times. I loved her feedback and appreciated her knowledge. Professor Mitra was a great professor!

    Course highlights:

I gained the knowledge on how to have discussions about issues in our country right now and how it will affect our lives in the future. I learned how to write response papers, which I did not know how to originally. My professor helped out thoroughly and explained in detail.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give students considering this course is to have an open mind and really take advantage of learning the different styles of writing as well as discussion real events in the short stories that are given.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Coming from someone who hates English, nor was I a big fan of the teacher, I would recommend this class. This class helped me not only better myself as a writer but also helped me figure out if the career I wanted was really for me. And the teacher pushes you to do better if she knows you can.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this class is the personal narrative that is assigned because it allows you to speak from your own experience. The career project is pretty cool too. You get to look for someone in the career you wish to peruse and interview them. I learn that if you are not truly in to a subject because you like it or do not know everything it will take in order be in that field you most likely are not suited for it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with ever assignment she not one for those who just want to get by. If you have any sleep problems or health issues tell her I did think mine was a big deal until I started to pass out in class and she thought I was just trying to get over on her. She will publicly humiliate you for slacking it wasn't until one of my friends told her about my health issue that she apologize. She would not have done so if she had previously known and she will not do so on any of your work. Only if she see you not paying attention to a class you are paying for.
