    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone. You don't have to want to be a Psychologists to take this course and I promise you, this course thoroughly explains the way humans think, the human body and brain as well as the effects of what humans perceive as life. I want to become a plastic surgeon in the future so I decided to take this course as a means to not only fulfill this requirement, but because I wanted to learn about how a person thinks and how their emotions play a part in our abilities to make decisions and understand our choices in life.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of my Psychology course were definitely when I learned about Psychological Disorders and my professor. Professor Hinton was a woman of all trades, humorous, and intelligent. She made the class enjoyable. Also I learned about the worst psychological disorder an individual could have. Schizophrenia is a severe brain disorder that impairs a person's ability to differentiate between reality and fiction. One of the most common misconceptions of Schizophrenia is that an individual who has the disorder is often violent. However, individuals with Schizophrenia tend to actually be the victims of abuse.

    Advice for students:

I advice anyone who wants to take a Psychology course to be prepared to READ! READ! READ! and take TONS OF NOTES! There is a lot of reading and writing that takes place in this course. The topics range from What Psychology is to Psychological Disorders to Human Development. However, it's all worth it in the end as you will broaden the amount of knowledge that you acquire as well as enjoy the course as a whole.
