Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would definitely recommend taking college algebra because it is a foundation for future math courses. Not only does college algebra prepare one for math but it is also introduced in the sciences such as chemistry.
Course highlights:
I learned more functions and strategies of algebra and the importance of the fundamentals.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Do not procrastinate! If there is a lab along with the course meet deadlines!
Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
I highly recommend this course because it involves formulas and equations that you can use in Biology Subcell/Org lab in college that involves a lot of math/calculations.
Course highlights:
The highlight of this course for me is when I made a 103% on my first college exam as a freshman. I learned that I can compete with the best upperclassmen as well.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
To succeed in this course get tutoring if you are having trouble understanding equations.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I loved taking this class because it was a requirement for other classes I need to take for my degree. The professor was helpful, knowledgeable, and knew how to explain the steps to solving a problem in many different ways so that everyone could understand it. She was always there to answer any questions the class had and having a Student Instructor, or a tutor, really helped the class when we could not go to office hours or when the professor was busy helping other students around the class.
Course highlights:
I learned the in and outs of College Algebra and will be able to complete other higher up math classes based on what I learned in this class.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
One piece of advice I would give students considering taking this course is put in the work. She uses an online homework system that gives you an unlimited amount of attempts for each homework problem as well as the entire assignment as long as you complete it before the deadline. ASK FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT!!!
