Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a required course for a BS in nursing, however it is truly interesting to begin your nursing journey by examining how disease starts at the cellular level.

    Course highlights:

I remember there was controversy during the Bush administration about stem cell research, but I didn't understand the relevance. It was exciting to learn that stem cells are just the "baby" cells; their roll is yet to be determined - which is why they are so valuable - you can plug them in anywhere to fulfill a need.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up w/the reading and class attendance, ask questions! Also, at the time, the text came w/this cd that had great animations - I felt the visuals of the cells interactions w/one another was really helpful for me in putting it all together.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Teacher is great the course is hard. There is a lot of stuff to remember. Make note cards to help you with memorization. Over all, fun class to be in.

    Course highlights:

From this class you will gain a bunch of medical knowledge that will definitely come in handy if you are planning to enter a nursing program or any other medical program.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study your definitions and meanings a long with the pictures. Read over power points and take good notes in class. Look up additional resources online for extra help. Over all, don’t stress you got this!

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Definitely sign up for the TopHat account, I know its inconvenient that it costs money, but it is worth it.
