Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course in anthropology is the basics of cultures and really opens your mind to many different types of people. This course in particular teaches new concepts in embracing all people and having respect for humanity.

    Course highlights:

I will always remember the term ethnocentrism and ethnology. These terms I believe are essential for the class and help people love one another.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would whole-hardheartedly say try this course. I am happy I did and wish I thought like this earlier. It is a great way to get interested in traveling and speaking different languages too.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Shirley is an awesome professor who really understands what a student needs. She is always glad to help even if you aren't in her class, or even if you don't understand the financial aid process. definitely one of my absolute favorite professors.

    Course highlights:

I learned about other cultures aside from highly glamorized ones. I was able to learn about the history of people as well as what anthropology is as a whole.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

doing the article reading isn't absolutely vital because she goes over that in her powerpoints. Reading the assigned books isn't critical either but make sure to do that at some point. as for the lecture itself she tells you make sure you highlight this wink wink for the tests she gives.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Because Professor Carey is very interesting and the class is very informative. It’s a great introductory class for anyone. It’s a lot of reading and taking notes but the info you get out of it is worth it.

    Course highlights:

I learned that there are many cultures that have different ways of doing things. I learned to read the book because the majority of what he goes over is not from the book.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I say go for it because there are interesting facts to know throughout history and it does expand to other classes like sociology. You have history to learn about our history but anthropology is basically history about other cultures and the differences between us and them.
