Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was super fun and interesting, definitely recommend! (It's also required) there is a lot of online homework but if you just get it done, it's not too bad and extremely easy to get an A+. It's a great introduction to general psychology.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how the brain works and some elements of why humans act the way that they do. It was super interesting to learn that there's science behind our emotions, thoughts, feelings, and actions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely don't fall behind. Keep up with the homework and you will be fine! Take the quizzes and go to class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it really shows a basic insight to psychology and why our brains work the way they do. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot in the class.

    Course highlights:

At first, the course seemed very intimidating. We had assignments for the entire semester handed to us on the first day. I had a full schedule that semester and I was afraid I would fall behind; I couldn't have been more wrong. Dr. Barbour made the class very interesting by being extremely animated the entire semester. During this time, I learned a lot about the development of children's brains and the most crucial times in their lives. For example, we learned that when a child gets in trouble, the wrong thing to do is isolate them and turn them away from comfort, because they learn to shut out their parents by believing that when times get tough, they're on their own.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to students considering taking this course is PAY ATTENTION. It may get repetitive but it is so important to make sure that you understand what is going on in the class. There are very complex concepts, despite this course being basic psychology. Things can become quite blurred if you get carried away with the fun.
