This class was tough.
I would recommend this class mainly because of the content discussed. Learning about Latin America, has opened my eyes. Seeing the variety of countries develop, while having there peaks and of course downfalls. One thing that helps intrigue the student into all the new information that is being gathered, is the professor. As i believe the professor is a huge part in the success of the students, and how they decide to deliver the multitude of valuable information is key.
Highlights of this course was getting to discuss the newly learned content. Having peers be as interested in it as much as I was. Something I did learn is how the past centuries of this region is greatly connected to mass amount of immigration that occurs now. Having said that, is opened my eyes to the decisions the united states makes. How much they intervene into other countries, with no remorse, political and government systems.

Advice for students:
Advice i would give is keep on track. Always do the readings before class, as it is a huge help, and you will gain the most from each lecture. If you don't understand or aren't fully grasping concepts, always go to office hours. Key point is don't allow yourself to fall behind. A lot of information is covered and there is no way you can cram it all in before exams.
