Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Great course, nice class to get your mind clear and learn at the same time. Also a really great professor.

    Course highlights:

I gained a new insight on music, I understood music concepts that I either didn't understand or thought I understood.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Class isn't mandatory, but it really helps on exams. Do the listening that she assigns.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

You learn to like classical music, it is not boring anymore and you discover that there is way more behind classical music than you thought. I really learned to appreciate and enjoy classical music.

    Course highlights:

The professor was the big highlight of this class. I learned about the life from different composers, the story behind some pieces. How music was created and how it has changed over the different periods of time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just really put attention during lecture. Homework assignments really help when it comes to the exams. If you do the readings for the chapter along with the homework you have an easy A for that class.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it's fun and you get to learn about music from about the 1300's to now in modern time! You get to listen to beautiful pieces by famous composers in history. One requirement for the course was to go to 5 concerts and to write a one page essay about each concert, I didn't mind this because I loved the concerts. There is tons of extra credit opportunities in the course I took. The class is never boring so if you are a music lover, I would suggest this class.

    Course highlights:

I gained really good knowledge about the history of music. I learned about many composers and their stories, specifically composers like Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, Mozart and tons more. I learned about different types of music, Gregorian Chants, Classical, Romantic and Modern. I also learned about how music has changed through out history.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The book is the only thing that helped me ace this course! The way I aced this course was to read and take notes and study those notes before the exam. The reading is pretty long but it's not dense at all, it's very easy to understand.
