    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you need it take it, if not I wouldn't recommend it. It is a lot of work and can be tough sometimes. The pace of the class is pretty fast so if you aren't a math person a tutor might be a good idea.

    Course highlights:

The professor was super helpful which was great. Some of the topics we studied were pretty cool and once you got the hang of it, pretty cool.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard, don't procrastinate, and no shame in having a tutor! Also, check out Patrick JMT on YouTube for help.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For any math based major it is a required course to take and one worth taking for you'll learn a lot.

    Course highlights:

I learned that there are a lot of aspects of Calculus that I had never considered. Also one of the coolest things you'll learn is how to find the volume of a revolved sketch.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the Math Success Center often, they helped me pass that class. Also don't be afraid to create study groups with people that know whats going on in the class, you'll help them memorize the information, while they help you learn it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are taking Calc II, I'm assuming that it is required for your major. Use ratemyprofessors.com to pick the best professor; Paudel was pretty good and an easier grader compared to others. Keep your chin up and you'll do fine!

    Course highlights:

If you like math, this course is pretty mind-blowing. You get to do things that you never even would have thought possible in math! Since it's pretty tough, the camaraderie of the class is pretty nice. Everyone struggles at some point, and everyone is pretty supportive through it.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Calc II is a tough class, so you NEED to show up to class every day. It is very fast paced, so show up with a notebook on the first day! One thing that helped me with the exams was copying my notes into another notebook to study. Do the study guides because some problems are similar on the exam, but not all. Form a study group, so others can explain concepts to you and you can explain to them! Believe me, if you can explain it to someone else, then you will understand the material so much better. Good luck! PS I picked "background knowledge expected" just because you need to be good at math. You don't need to know Calc II concepts prior to class.
