Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, especially if you are not majoring in Musical Theater. This class was an amazing opportunity to study the music of early Musical performances and to learn more about the processes and the lives of important Composers such as Stephen Sondheim, Roger Hammerstein, Cole Porter and George Irshwin etc.

    Course highlights:

Studying the musicals Hamilton and Chicago were really fun for me! It was amazing diving more into the context of these shows and to study the music that I had already heard about in great depth.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To attend lectures, to read the textbook and to study the lyrics alongside the music in preparation for Listening Quizzes.
