    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I know that this course is often seen as an easy way to satisfy a general education requirement, but I honestly enjoyed the lectures in class and I find Astronomy very interesting. There's a lot more math involved than you'd expect, but it's all formulas that are given to you, and you don't need any prior knowledge.

    Course highlights:

The videos Professor Taylor shows in class are always interesting, he even sometimes does demonstrations at the front using volunteers from the classroom. He is obviously very interested in this subject and I feel that his enthusiasm is contagious. The notes used in class are useful for studying for exams, and you are given permission to use a cheat sheet to help on the exams. It is near impossible to fail this class and is a great and interesting way to keep your GPA happy while you satisfy gen eds.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make friends with people who have previously taken this course, as we were given the choice to keep our old exams. Professor Taylor reuses questions, and it is very important to study those old tests in order to really know what you're getting into with your own exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you want to learn more about stars specifically how they evolve, their sizes and temperatures, the types of stars, the lifetime etc. The pictures I was able to see in this class were breathtaking. It really changed my perspective on how big the Universe is.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about our star, the sun and the different galaxies. There's millions and millions of stars that I didn't even know existed. I learned more about the big bang theory and the evolution of stars. I learned about different telescopes and different theories that evolved about planets and the stars. I loved how interesting the professor made the class by incorporating demonstrations and videos to better enhance our understanding of the material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make study guides and go over lecture notes thoroughly in order to do well in the course.
