This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Bio 118 is one of those courses as a science major you just have to take, but its a dreaded class so be prepared to read.
Course highlights:
You get to know a lot of your classmates and make friends in lab because most likely you'll have more classes with them.

Advice for students:
Read the textbook because Lawless's teaching style is not the best. The test are tricky so make sure you keep up on your readings. Also take up tutoring offered on campus.

She basically teaches directly from the textbook and I never felt the interest she had in the course, which didn't help mine.

I did enjoy the actual content of the course, as biology does interest me.

I took this class my freshman year, and it was really difficult at first but after going to office hours and studying more, you begin to get ahead and begin to start to understand a lot more.
Course highlights:
I learned general Biology and how different systems, and species work together.

3-5 hours

Advice that i would give to students is to stay on track and to even try to stay ahead. Remember to read he textbook, and if you don't understand something, go to office hours.
