Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, it gives a higher appreciation on the importance of studying bacteria and viruses by relating it to past and present events with disease and medicine.

    Course highlights:

I was most interested in learning how bacteria defends itself against host defenses. It opened my eyes to the complexity of interactions between antibiotics and bacteria.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is solely based off memorization of notes and taking very detailed notes in lecture. The textbook will help for some tests more than others. Lecture powerpoints will not be posted anywhere for review so pay attention in class!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For any person interested in the biological sciences, this is a course that will intrigue you, while pushing you to your breaking point. Fun!

    Course highlights:

The amount of topics that were covered were very numerous, but all were very interesting. What I learned the most was mostly laboratory techniques, which then carried over into the lecture.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Wrote my notes instead of typing them, I studied my notes every night.
