    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is very light on assignments. The major grade decider is the final paper. It has to be a minimum of 60 pages and it is a group project. You really need to start as early as possible and be very specific on it.

    Course highlights:

You learn a lot about writing and citing for healthcare and you get to really deeply interview an organization of your choosing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to find a group from the previous semester's paper, DO NOT COPY. Just use it to figure out formatting and wording. Also make sure you do well on the exams because there is only 2.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great teacher, the class can be kind of boring sometimes and she grades her assignments difficultly. Overall she understands we're in college so she can be pretty lenient when it comes to due dates.

    Course highlights:

There's nothing to highlight. It's Heath care systems, it changes everyday, so she just keeps you up to date with what's going on the United States.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Study! There one test, and many reports in APA format. There's weekly quizzes that are easy, other than that, you need to study.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class is fascinating, especially if you're going into the healthcare field! It was probably one of the best classes I've taken at UAB. There's two papers, but they weren't hard to write. The tests are not too hard either.

    Course highlights:

We got to learn how insurance works, how the healthcare system is run, the problems our system faces, and how other countries' health care systems differ from ours. I really liked learning about the different kinds of insurance and other things about the insurance system because I feel I can apply it to my own life when picking insurance and using the health care system.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the papers. He normally makes one of the papers due during Thanksgiving or spring break, but he tells you about it way in advance so if you do it ahead of time you won't have to waste your break. Also bring coffee or an energy drink to class, it's entirely a lecture, its normally at night, and it's really long, so while he's interesting to listen to you might be tempted to doze off. He doesn't count attendance, but you might want to go anyway so you won't have to do much reading.
